Recently, Bishop Lynch has given Fr. Clement permission to celebrate the Latin Mass here at Incarnation. There is a growing interest in this form of the Mass, but in order to celebrate the Extraordinary Form worthily and properly, certain and specific items are needed before we can commence.

The Latin Mass Memorial Fund consists of donations given in honor of loved ones. These donations are used specifically to purchase church items in memory of the person(s) honored which will be used to outfit the altar for the celebration of the Latin Mass (Mass in the Extraordinary Form). Donating to the Memorial Fund is an opportunity both to remember your loved ones and help the parish defer the cost of much needed and necessary items for use in the Latin Mass. You may choose to purchase outright one of the chosen items below or make a donation towards the purchase of an item. Gifts both large and small are most welcomed and appreciated.

In gratitude to those donating to the Memorial Fund, we will issue you an “In Memoriam” certificate, list the memorialized item in our bulletin on one weekend, and post your item and the name(s) of your loved one(s) on this page in thanksgiving for one year. Please note, in order to maintain the dignity and beauty of certain items, unless it can be marked in an inconspicuous place, the actual item will not be inscribed.  The necessary items for celebration of the Latin Mass have been chosen and are pictured below. To arrange a memorial, please contact Fr. Philip Clement at the church office either by email, or call 813-885-7861. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Moses then called Bezalel and Oholiab and all the other artisans whom the LORD had endowed with skill, men whose hearts moved them to come and do the work. They received from Moses all the contributions which the Israelites had brought for the work to be done for the sanctuary service. Still, morning after morning the people continued to bring their voluntary offerings to Moses.

In Need Of

2 Albs

($100 ea.) The alb is the white garment worn by the priest under his chasuble. We are in need of three albs: small, medium, and large. For more information on how to make a donation for this item, please contact Fr. Philip Clement by email or call 813-885-7861.

($700, or $350ea.) An additional pair of candlesticks are needed for celebrating the Low Mass. This pair will serve that purpose and illuminate the altar with the Light of Christ. Altar Cards

($700) When the priest prays the words of consecration in the Mass, as well as certain other prayers, at times it is important for him to be able to remain focused and attentive to the offering on the altar both before and after the consecration rather than having to turn to look at the Missal. In order to help him do this, a set of three altar cards are placed on the altar, which allows him to remain facing forward at special times in the Mass. This beautiful set of altar cards will fulfill this purpose for us. For more information on how to make a donation for this item, please contact Fr. Philip Clement by email or call 813-885-7861.

Missal Stand

($700) This elegant Missal stand will serve to hold the Missal on the altar as the priest celebrates the Holy Sacrifice. For more information on how to make a donation for this item, please contact Fr. Philip Clement by email or call 813-885-7861.

Sanctus Bells

($300) Remember hearing the bells rung during Mass? The Sanctus Bells are rung during the “Sanctus” (Holy, Holy, Holy) and when the priest elevates the precious Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus. These splendid bells will add a nice compliment to the sense of quiet that accompanies the Latin Mass. For more information on how to make a donation for this item, please contact Fr. Philip Clement by email or call 813-885-7861.

Cassock

($350) The Cassock is the garb the priest wears under his alb. We are more familiar with the priests today wearing the clerical shirt and the white tabbed collar. At the Latin Mass, the priest instead wears the Cassock. For more information on how to make a donation for this item, please contact Fr. Philip Clement by email or call 813-885-7861.

Surplice

($200) The Surplice is the garb the priest wears over his cassock. The Surplice will be worn over the Cassock with the stole during the transfer of the Blessed Sacrament from the chapel to the altar tabernacle. For more information on how to make a donation for this item, please contact Fr. Philip Clement by email or call 813-885-7861.

Biretta

($150) The Biretta is the hat the priest wears in the entrance and exit processions. For more information on how to make a donation for this item, please contact Fr. Philip Clement by email or call 813-885-7861.

2 Reliquary Cases

($300 or $150ea.) On the Latin Mass altar will be placed the relics of two saints inside of two beautiful new reliquaries. Because of the dignity of these hole relics, we want to protect them within two hard cases. If you would like to donate one or both of these cases, or to make a partial donate, please contact Fr. Philip Clement by email or call 813-885-7861.
